Project Submissions
Teams tackled a wide array of real-world challenges, from streamlining complex back-end workflows and automating content creation to enhancing user accessibility.
Each project offered a unique vision for the future of AI in Drupal.
We are excited to showcase each submission, including the standout project from our winning team, Webform AI, which captivated the jury with its novel approach to accessibility and information collection.
Here are the project submissions, starting with our winning team.
Webform AI
With a focus on accessibility and alternative interaction methods for webforms, revolutionizing information collection.
This project showcased how AI can enhance user experience and streamline data input within Drupal, addressing critical needs in a highly innovative way.
Context Aware Alt Text
This team developed a Drupal module designed to automatically generate context-aware alt text for images.
Moving beyond simple image content analysis, their solution integrates surrounding page elements like titles, captions, and nearby text to create more meaningful and accurate descriptions.
This significantly helps editors meet WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards, improves SEO, and reduces editorial workload.
PDF to Paragraphs importer with AI Voodoo
Addressing the common pain point of content migration, this submission showcased a solution that transforms unstructured PDFs into structured Drupal content.
This project, integrated into the blökkli editor, intelligently combines docling with AI models to automate content migration into Paragraphs, drastically reducing manual effort.
Schema for AI Agent output when called from ECA
This project tackles a crucial challenge in AI-driven workflows: ensuring reliable data exchange.
The team enhanced the ECA module to provide a JSON schema, dictating the exact format of an AI agent's output.
This innovation ensures that subsequent processing of AI-generated data is perfectly reliable, significantly boosting the value of AI Agents in Drupal workflows.
QuantHub
The team presented an AI-powered GitHub for quants, transforming raw code into financial insight.
This innovative platform automatically explains strategy updates in plain language, detailing changes in signals, risk, and expected returns.
Open WebUI
This submission highlights the ease-of-use and power of open-source LLM models, including the Swiss AI model (Apertus), for all users.
The team demonstrated Open WebUI, an open-source framework that provides a ChatGPT-like experience without reliance on US infrastructure, enabling sovereign solutions particularly relevant for Swiss users.
This platform has the potential to become an invaluable companion, offering easy access to Drupal knowledge.
